Why Winchester Eats?

We decided to start Winchester Eats primarily because we are a little bit greedy, and we really love decent food and drink! We also love cooking and sharing food with friends and family, and luckily there's plenty of great food and drink to be found in this little corner of Hampshire. We have everything here from from world class vineyards, artisan coffee roasters, an amazing array of locally made Gins, and all manner of locally grown and created produce.

We recently returned to this part of the UK (where we grew up!), having lived abroad for almost 8 years. In that time we got a little fed up of being constantly told how "awful" English food was. Whilst that might have possibly been the case a few generations or so back, nowadays, nothing could be further from the truth!

We want to use Winchester Eats to celebrate all kinds of local food and drinks in our gorgeous city (and a few surrounding places too!) whether that's recipes we create using local produce, food news, places and happenings we think you need to know about, and of course a fair few reviews of Winchester's restaurants, pubs and cafes!
